Harvest Festival

Friday, September 22 2017 to Sunday, September 24 2017

This year, Really Local Harvest and the Dieppe Market will be hosting the 9th annual Harvest Festival in collaboration with the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre. The Harvest Festival is an ultra fun and engaging family event that aims to connect members of the community with local farmers and boost awareness surrounding local food. This festival takes place from September 22 – 24, and will have several interactive workshops and events for all ages.

Help us kick off the festival on Friday night at 8 pm with a show by the Indigenous reggae artist Shauit. Hailing from Northern Quebec, this talented singer-songwriter makes music in four languages – French, English, Inuit, and Créole. He has performed at over 300 festivals and shows across Canada and all over the world. His show will be made possible by Radarts, the Canada 150 Performance Series, APA and the city of Dieppe. Shauit will be bringing his act to the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre, right across the street from

the Dieppe Market. Tickets are $20 for adults and only $17 for students and seniors. On Saturday, come say hello to our vendors and try some treats at the market. As usual, the market will be open from 7 am to 1:30 pm, and has large selection of goods from local farmers and artisans. You can find everything from maple syrup, to hand-crafted soaps and necklaces – no matter who you are, the market has something for everyone.

After grabbing some snacks at the market, get ready for the super tasty CulinArt Experience at 7 pm. The dishes will be presented in the form of a multi-course meal, and are guaranteed to delight your tastebuds. In addition to the meal, there will be wine and spirits, as well as live music. The CulinArt Experience will use produce grown by local farmers, and will be held at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre, with tickets available for $75. Finally, the Harvest Festival will be wrapping up on Sunday with family activities all day at the Dieppe Market.
